Used in splicing cable shield openings within pedestal terminals or splice closures
Flat, tin-plated copper braided conductor, ½" wide, .070" thick, that provides a low electrical resistance connection
Equivalent to a #6 AWG copper conductor
The braid is strong enough to be effective in relieving the strain across a spliced cable
SI-7171 conforms to Bellcore specification 1036
